Eton Wick Youth FC was founded in August 2022 to enable boys and girls aged 6 and above to take part in our national sport. Today we have 2 teams in both the U8 and U9 divisions playing in the Thames Valley Football Development League. Please message us to arrange a free 2-week trial.

CRAIG SUMNER

Development Officer

Craig Sumner is the U9 coach and Development Officer at Eton Wick Youth Football Club, a grassroots youth football organisation. With over 30 years of experience, Craig plays a pivotal role in shaping the club’s coaching strategies and ensuring that the development of young players is at the forefront of the club’s mission. His extensive experience and dedication to youth football make him a cornerstone of the club, where he is committed to nurturing the next generation of football talent in a supportive and engaging environment.

CHRIS MEIGHAN

Club Secretary & Coach

Chris Meighan is the U9s (Bees) coach and Club Secretary at Eton Wick Youth Football Club. With 4 years of coaching experience, Chris is responsible for both the on-field development of his players and the administrative duties that keep the club running smoothly. His passion for youth football and his ability to connect with young players have been key in creating a positive atmosphere within the team. Chris's dual role as a coach and secretary ensures that the club's values of community and player development are upheld both on and off the pitch.

JAMES REBBITT

Welfare Officer

James Rebbitt is the Welfare Officer at Eton Wick Youth Football Club, bringing over 25 years of experience in education to his role. Having served as the designated Safeguarding Lead for a large secondary school, James is deeply committed to ensuring that young players feel supported and safe in their sporting environment. He believes that participation in team sports is crucial for youth development, but it must be underpinned by a strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare. James emphasises that safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and everyone's behaviour should reflect this core principle.
